Spoilt for choice

As some of you might know, my boyfriend finally, recently proposed (*cough* six and a half years *cough*)and we are in the process of planning our wedding/Aussie & Asian invasion.

Neither of us are remotely interested in a traditional church wedding and contrary to popular belief, I'm not that materialistic (OK, maybe a little) and I don't particularly like to be centre of attention (subject to change after Rosé ), I also don't want to start married life in thousands of pounds worth of debt, I already owe quite enough to the Student Loans Company, thank you very much.

So (as we were heading that way anyway) we have decided on a simple (but very romantic ) wedding in Thailand, on a beach, no guests, no cake, no shoes - I'm with Jen Aniston on the barefoot thing(see this week's Grazia.)

This low-key affair means that the altar/canopy is amongst the very few decisions that I, sorry, that we, have to make. (Monica Moment.)

Ummm yeah, so I think that's about it....just as well really because I am starting to feel slightly stressed as it is, god knows how 'normal' brides get through their Big White Weddings without having a coronary.

Do you take thee?

Would you get married abroad, and which altar do you think I should pick?

I LOVE your idea!! It sounds so romantic and beautiful. The second one is my favorite, very simple.

Oooh no flowers? Controversial! I'm leaning towards the heart shaped arch with white roses at the moment

Love the grass runway (?) bit with purple flowers on it.. this is how little i know about weddings! Sounds gorgeous though. And your comment was amazing hahah! The bed has yet to be 'christened' ahemsingleforeverahem but it seems robust enough, even if i did make it myself ;) x

Haha I think the technical term is 'aisle', although runway does sound much more glam! I may have to talk him into the bed - perhaps a few weeks after the honeymoon!

It all sounds great. At the end of the day it's about two people, not flashy token stuff. How amazing to get wed on the beach. All the altars look good, I'd lean towards the simpler ones but that's me! BB xx

Aww love the idea :) My mum would be really mad at me (and the rest of my huge fam probably) if I did this kind of thing haha, but it sounds so beautiful!
I can't wait to see what dress you choose!
Congrats!
